Extended Cooling
#1
Cut a hole in the lid and put an extra heatsink on top of the existing heatsink with a silicone pad.Works perfect.

Does that box get so hot a person needs a fan?
It be the first android I ever seen that needed that.
Only fans I ever used for equipment were satellite boxes.
Example..Sonicview HD, Viewsat HD
Is the first I ever heard a android gets hot.

All S912 are above normal temperature
So,if you use it and as 'game box', you definitely need one !!
In hard games the temperature is nearly 70 degrees Celsius !!

Oh I see thanks for the info.
I don't use my androids for games. Just for kodi and iptv.
So that be why I didn't know about androids getting hot.

In my nexbox A1 (S912) I have seen 70°C in kodi, or even more.

But for now, that is winter and room temp gets up to 24°C at best, it is OK.
At the summer when room temp will be more than 28°C I`ll see if it will be still OK.
