Poor wi-fi...is My tv box defective?
#1
I've bought this TV Box from Gearbest after checking this review https://youtu.be/XfqUTIKr_B8 Today The TV Box Arrived, And The wi-fi performance is Not as Close to what The reviewer seen. I've got An effective 20 mbps wi-fi Connection on The 2.4ghz band, And The TV Box is managing to barely Achieve 0.14 mbps....is My tv box defective or what?

IPVanish is probably the best VPN service to use in order to watch movies and TV shows anonymously on Kodi or otherwise. And, Xiaomi is gettting popular in the world.

The only REAL way to improve Wifi performance on these boxes is to do the external antenna mod , as provided by Kodiloaded

If you checkout my FAQ , there are details on how to do this..

I've actually managed to Fix It...I've Just disabled bluetooth And Speeds Spiked near The 10 mbps. Now i stillicidio got a problem But probably this would be OT Here. The SOC is on Constant thermal throttling with temps Constantly on The 90 to 95 °C...I've opened The box And Found An heatsink on top of The SOC which is attached with some sort of glue since It is solid Even if i try to Pull It with some Force.  I Think It has really bad thermal properties since Even in idle temps are around 80 degrees And It Spikes quickly all around But never below 60...any idea on how to remove It to Apply some Good thermal paste?
